EveryMove is an app that converts physical activity into real world rewards. One of the biggest motivations for measuring our fitness data is being able to compare it to friends and family – something that is becoming increasingly difficult as everyone buys a different device. It’s also becoming increasingly popular for employers to reward employees for activity – but until now, there hasn’t been a simple platform for employers to tap into to measure this activity and offer employees rewards for getting up from their desks.
has partnered with 35 companies in the fitness tracking and app space, supporting more than 150 devices. The platform, which anyone can sign up on, allows users to sync any one of their devices and see the fitness activity of their friends – even if they’re using another device. The real benefit of EveryMove, however, is when your employer and/or health insurance provider has synced up with the platform. From there, you can earn points based on your activity that can be redeemed for rewards or discounts on products at popular stores.
Cozi is a free app and website that helps you manage the chaos of family life with a shared calendar, shopping lists, to do lists and more.
Cozi helps you keep track of everything from school schedules to sports activities, grocery lists, meals and chores — all in one place accessible by every member of the family and from any computer or mobile device. As the Senior UI/UX Designer I drove the look and feel of the iPhone, iPad, Android apps into easy to understand yet modern look. Taking clues from iOS7 and modern UX best practices, I uncluttered the navigation and simplified the messaged of each section while keeping the target audience of busy mom in mind.

The bulk of my work at Allrecipes revolved around this little beauty pictured above called Dinner Spinner. Dinner Spinner comes in two flavors Dinner Spinner Free and Dinner Spinner Pro. With over 16 Million downloads between all of the Allrecipes mobile products it kept me pretty busy. The basic concept of the app is that you can select dish type, ingredients, and ready in and the spinner will randomize recipes by these three categories. In addition to the spinner the app has a featured section, favorites, search, shopping list, and settings. The app itself has over 40,000 top rated recipes all submitted by users. You can upload photos of recipes or share them with friends. Dinner Spinner is available on iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone 7. We have also revamped this UI for Android tablets and the Kindle Fire.
The search section has a number of dietary filters including: vegetation, vegan, no dairy, no wheat, high fiber, low fat, low sodium, and low carbs. So you can easily find low fat, low sodium chicken recipes in seconds.
The myTouch 4G slide is the fourth generation of the myTouch franchise family. The interaction and UI layer were customized to make this device uniquely T-Mobile. I worked with the T-mobile’s design team to drive visual strategy for a custom UI layer built on top of HTC Sense 3.0, and on-device applications like T-mobile’s My Account. My Account is a T-mobile app that helps users keep track of their minutes, data, and account details. I helped creation of comprehensive toolkits and style guides to establish design consistency across the whole UI experience for the phone. I also worked directly with development on production, implementation of the UI.
